Grace

Now if you haven’t seen The September issue, I suggest you get your arse over to Netflix now and prepare yourself for the sudden need of a career change and spend the next three hours googling fashion internships.

Grace Coddington is my personal hero.
Ex model of the 60s and head of creative design at American Vouge, she is the fairy godmother of styling. Her photos are nothing short of enchanting.

Other than rocking my dream job, Grace is an absolute superstar due to her understated and unedited character. She has avoided the limelight trap that seems to follow everybody in the fashion industry (she's actually quite normal) The passion behind what she does, makes her work a cut above the rest. Her images have an element of magic to them, her remarkable imagination shines through whatever she produces. Her work is more than just a job, it's what she loves.

‘Grace’ a memoir, was published in 2012 (also highly suggest that you go read this too!) and it has now been announced, that a film version will be hitting our big screens in the not so distant future. (Yes, tears did appear in my Grace shaped eyes when the news dropped)

When asked to create a fashion garment based on my hero, Grace was my leading lady. Highlighting her love for monochrome, cats and the need for a narrative, I created a simplistic, tailored shirt and jacket combo garment, based on the fairy tale 'puss in boots'

Enjoy the pictures from my 'Hope in Boots' Shoot.

Much love, Grace Coddingtons number 1 fan girl. xoxo
